Jiri (translates as George in English) married Katerina Fisher. As the oldest son, Jiri inherited the family home and property. Jiri died 13 May 1872 from polio at the age of 33. Jiri and Katerina had two sons, Jan (John) and Vaclav (James). Katerina, as his widow, became the heir to the family property. Widowed Katerina married Karel Blahnik and had 4 more known children. The family property now became the property of Karel and Katerina Blahnik.
2. Anna Sedláčková was born
10 Jul 1840 at the Sedlacek home. Anna died at the age of 17 on 21 December 1857

3. Vaclav Sedlacek was born in 1842 and died 1863, at the age of 20 from a stomach ailment. It could have been an appendicitis, cancer, an ulcer or another ailment. The death record is not specific, because it is possible that it was unknown.
4. Joseph Sedlacek was born in 1845 at the Sedlacek home and died in Chicago, Illinois in 1917. Joseph was the first known family member to go to America. He arrived in 1866. He married Mary Loula and had 15 children.
5. Jakub Sedlacek was born in 1850. He was the second family member to go to America. He followed his brother to Chicago. Jakub married Julia Jandus and they had one son, Bohumil (Fred). Jakub and Julia divorced shortly after Bohumil's birth. Jakub moved to Wisconsin and married Anna Matek. Jakub and Anna had 12 children. Jakub worked as a carpenter and a music teacher in Wisconsin, in addition to having a farm. Jakub died in 1919 in Wisconsin.
6. Josepha (Josephine) Sedlacekova was born in 1852 at the Sedlacek home. Josepha followed her two brothers to Chicago where she married Vojtech (Albert) Mencl. Albert and Josephine had 10 children. Josephine died in 1929.
7. Marie Sedlacekova was born in 1856 at the Sedlacek home. Marie married Jan (John) Vondra November 16, 1875. John and Marie moved to the United States in 1884, settling for a short time in Chicago, and later moving to South Dakota. Marie died in 1912.
In looking at the family information and death dates, at the time that Marie was married, her parents, two oldest brothers and oldest sister were deceased. At the same time, her three surviving siblings were in America. She was the only person from her immediate family in Bohemia. Surviving family members included her sister-in-law, Katerina Fisher Sedlacekova Blahnik and two nephews. There were aunts, uncles, cousins and more still in the area.
It is unknown how John and Marie's marriage was arranged, as this was not uncommon in those times.
